2012 Jaguar XKR Convertible At Sunrise – Shot With New Canon 1DX – and 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens

Here’s a shot I’ve been wanting to make for a long time – years maybe. At Las Vegas Motor Speedway, near the end of the main thru-road there is a grove of palm trees and most of the time they are a great sunrise shot. The problem is that there are rarely clouds to make the sunrise interesting. So I was going out to the track to do some testing in the XKR anyway, so I popped the new Canon 1DX on a tripod, made two exposures, blended them with Nik HDR EFEX Pro 2 and this is the result.
